Optimizing your Windows PC

Save disk space

No matter how big that hard drive seemed when you first purchased it, it will probably be filled to the rim in no time.

Here are a few places where you can safely delete files to make more room available:

  • The windows temp folder (c:\windows\temp)
  • The windows temporary internet files folder (c:\windows\Temporary Internet Files)

You may also want to remove applications you rarely use (if possible using the Add/Remove Control Panel) as well as the setup files for programs you downloaded from the internet.

Conclusion

Well, that concludes our tutorial on optimizing your Windows PC. With these tips in hand a little bit of determination, you should be able to buy your computer a few more years.
