Is my Lexmark x75 able to installed into my Vista program? |

 | Eric on May 31, 2008 | RE: Lexmark X75 Windows Vista Installation
Hi Maxine,
Although Lexmark has not released a Windows Vista driver for the Lexmark X75 printer, there is a good chance that Vista will support your printer without the need for installing a driver (i.e. Windows Vista probably comes with a driver for your printer already built into the operating system). Windows Vista comes with support for 2.2 million devices and since your printer is not a new model, it is likely to be supported. Just try connecting it to a computer that is running Windows Vista and see if it is detected and installed for you.
We do have the drivers for Windows 2000 and Windows XP available for download from our driver database:

I have tried to install it on my computer but I get a message saying "Invalid Handle". Any help greatly appreciated. |

I made the mistake of "upgrading" to windows vista on my laptop. My Lexmark x75 worked great with Windows XP, but there is no driver for vista. I now have a large paper weight on my desk. |

Are you suggesting that one should download a driver for an older OS and then "upgrade" it with some of the ads on your web page? |

The printer was a pieced of crap with XP and doesn't even work on Vista. IMHO, all Lexmark products are pieces of crap. Buy HP. |

I am EXTREMELY disappointed with Lexmark also. I too have a Lexmark X75 that's of absolutely no use to me now that I've bought this beautiful new Compaq Presario SR5223WM. I'll never buy ANYTHING ELSE from Lexmark. |

Hi I'm obviously not the only one with the X74/X75 Lexmark problem then, I thought it was me. Surely there must be someone out there that has sorted this problem, please pass it on. Seems I'll have to keep my tower with printer attached, so I can get print outs. Can I connect this printer directly to my Livebox 4588 router. Can anybody help.
Thanks |
